IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT EAST PYE SOLAR

The 29th of April 2026 is the opening day for residents to register as an Interested Party in the East Pye Solar planning application.

Comprehensive instructions on how to register are on the pages below. Please feel free to reach out should something be unclear.

PLEASE NOTE: Registrations cannot be copied from Person to Person as they have a system in place that will detect that it has been copied. Also should you use AI, you will need to disclose you have used this.

You must register by Wednesday 10 June 2026, otherwise it will be too late as no late entries will be accepted.

NOTE:

1. Anyone can object, they don’t have to live in Great Moulton, they can live in another county or even overseas. You can get family and friends to register.

2. Public registration is for individuals, it is not for households, if there are five people in your family they should all register individually, but care should be exercised with children’s details as these can be posted on-line. Vary the circumstances, don’t simply copy and paste the same text for all parties.

3. One very worrying aspect of this is that as Councillors we speak to residents who have no idea what East Pye Solar is about, much less how it will change their lives, their environment and the devastating effect it will have on property values. Please make sure you spread the word. Despite four posts specifically relating to this project posted on this page since the beginning of March there are still many people completely unaware of the scope and impact this will have. Finally remember there are still people in this village with no social media interaction including some who don’t even have an internet connection. Make them aware and if you can; help them register.

* Traffic routes proposals to widen roads through Great Moulton and Tivetshall. Trucks will be 5m (16 feet) wide by 40m (130 feet)long

* Increased risk of flooding,

* ITN report of Hempnall David Hook stating he believes 'there is another way' to deal with reducing CO2.

East Pye Solar are currently conducting a Targeted Consultation. Deadline to respond 26th November 2025 This is a follow on from their first and second consultations. It should have been delivered to all residents in Tivetshall. However a number of residents state they have not received it.

This is to provide the next and urgent steps you may wish to take.

Here are drafts of two letters. Please add your own words too in space at the end. Explain how you think these will affect you - roads; loss of trees, hedges and wildlife; increased risk of flooding; views; loss of countryside to industrialisation the list is endless.

a) to respond to each communication.

b) to include every communication received when submitting the new targeted consultation to the Planning Inspectorate.
